I get these 'flares' of dry eye where my eyes get so red and painful I cannot keep them open. Eye drops make it worse and they last anywhere from a day to my longest being 3 weeks. They usually affect one eye then travel to the other. Occasionally they affect both eyes. Yes. Dry eyes are a symptom of fibromyalgia and its miserable! I was told baby shampoo and I keep a bottle right next to me with unscented baby wipes and just a tiny dab on a wipe and i wash my eyes like that as soon as I wake up and whenever they feel" gritty". Which is often! But it really helps!

The oatmeal one evino or avino ( sorry can't think of the name) blaming my fm for that.
Next time you get grit try washing your eye lids with baby shampoo.My doc said I had eye lid dander this helped

I had my eyes operated on /There dry to it helps to run a humidifier by the side of your bed.If you get a lot of grit in your eye wash it with baby shampoo
