I have had abdominal bloating and severe cramping pain spasms since I had my hysterectomy in 2012. Don't know what might be causing it but it is so sore and uncomfortable and it never goes away. Just want to know if anyone else has had this or if they can suggest anything. Just wanted to share this also. IBS as you know has different "forms". And pain meds can cause constipation. My dr told me me to take stool softeners and they help along with eating a lot of veggies. That has helped a lot.
I just saw that you posted that you're already gluten free. That was actually going to be my suggestion. I find it very difficult with a house full of kids to maintain a good gluten free diet but I try unless we are going out to eat or something like a family occasion or whatever but I find that after eating Chinese food or anything like a heavy pasta I wake up the next morning like I added 10 pounds on. Another thought could be preservatives of some sort or msg
Could be dietary related hun. Worth keeping an eye on what you eat and see if there is a pattern. Also speak to GP see if they can prescribe buscopan x

My abdominal swelling turned out to be liver/glabladder problems. My gallbladder had to be removed and I've virtually eliminated red meat from my diet since bile breaks down animal fats. It's substantially helped.
