hi i am 54 i signed up for it last may and by sept of last year i got it ! make sure all your doctors are listed and chiropractors too and list everything that is wrong with you don t leave anything out ! hope that helps! i wish you the best!

I have been on disability for 10 plus years ........ took me 6 months and I got denied so I wrote them a letter and got it within 3 months on my own no lawyer would be glad to help you

Hi, I just applied and got denied last week, my first attempt. I have a lawyer and he said they almost always deny you on the first try, hoping you will go away. Don't give up. He also said it is easier to get approved if you are 50 yrs or older, I'm 48 lol

Umm.....In it's entirety it took 6 years... I was repeatedly denied because of malicious doctors, incompetent assessors (I was quadriplegic with pain at one point and the assessor determined there was nothing wrong with me...) I was only awarded it last year....

I am. I fought for a year to get it, with the help of a lawyer. I also have a lot of other conditions as well that keep me from working. I don't know if it was the combination or one condition that deemed me unable to work.
