Adores Anyone Have Esophageal Spasms?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Esophagus clamps down and can be very painful and sometimes it lasts a long time. This time I've taken a lorazepam to help but I'm still waiting for to work

No I do not have this and this is the first time I've heard of it. Sounds awful. I hope one of your doctor's can find something to help. Will be praying for you. Warm hugs!

I have the same thing. Nothing works except that I sit straight up as I can, stretch my neck n just try to relax. It's a horrible feeling. I choke on water. I'm very careful when I eat or drink. I hope you find a remedy. :)

Oh the stretching that way sounds like a good idea. I have problems with very hot or very cold foods or drinks. It feels like brain freeze but it's esophegus freeze. First time it happened I thought it was a heart attack so my doctor had me do the stress test, wow that was no beuno, but all was well, as we had thought it would. I had one again last night because I aloud my self a rare treat of a milkshake. So there's another reason to cut out sweets. :(
