I'm suffering from really dry itchy skin that nothing seams to really work on. Lotions and creams just make me feel sticky and don't relieve the itch!

Members responding to concerns about dry, itchy skin that lotions and creams fail to relieve offered a variety of alternative remedies, with coconut oil being the most frequently recommended natural solution. Several members shared success with specific products like Vanicream (often prescribed by dermatologists), Aveeno emollients, No Crack cream, and fragrance-free options containing lavender or chamomile oils, with one member noting that synthetic fragrances in traditional lotions can worsen irritation. A recurring theme was the benefit of fish oil supplements for both skin hydration and overall pain management, along with the importance of finding products that absorb well rather than leaving a sticky residue.

I use Forever Aloe Propolis which is a combination of very high quality Aloe Vera and Bee Propolis which is a substance produced by bees to protect their hives from infection. It is produced by Forever living and is the most effective moisturiser I have ever found. It has helped me so much that I started selling it!

I've been taking fish oil for years and I never have dry skin. Plus it helps with my fibro pain. Ran out once and it was horrible.

I just started to use Ava Anderson non toxic dream cream. It is inexpensive and clears up dry skin. It's apparently the fragrance in lotions that cause irritated skin, so this lotion has lavender and chamomile oils in it. I accidently burned my hand when I took a pie out of the oven and put the dream cream on my burn. It took away the burn. hope it helps
