My left hand, more especially around the thumb down into the hand. I would welcome any suggestions on what can help. Thanks

Members shared various approaches to managing hand pain related to fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, and arthritis, with many finding relief through warmth strategies like muscle rubs, heat therapy gloves, warm sand exercises, and keeping hands covered even indoors. Several members described using wrist splints at night to prevent nerve compression, gentle hand massages, hand exercises from physiotherapists, and supplements like B-6 vitamins and glucosamine cream with MSM. A recurring theme was the mixed results with medical interventions like steroid injections, which worked well for some but provided only temporary relief for others, leading many to focus on self-management techniques and learning to live with symptoms rather than relying solely on medications or surgery.

I wear heat therapy gloves ,they are fingerless gloves made from the same material as wet suits, they do help. I also have been given hand exercises to do by a physiotherapist .

Hi honey. I have been using a muscle rub on my left hand. I don't really take any reg meds for fibro but my hand is a new pain! I find it takes me a while to get my head around a new pain but when I do I try to manage it without meds... Sorry to waffle on. I've also tried not to let my hands get cold. Worn gloves in the house... Even put socks over my hands in the car! ( I wasn't driving on this occasion lol)
I would also welcome any advice on hand pain. Find the gel helps a little but still quite sore! X
Sorry can't help any more! Gentle hugs Angie. X

Consult your doctor and see if you have carpal tunnel. My wife has had very good luck with B-6 vitamins,
keeping her hands warm with gloves and glucosamine cream with MSM.

I just happen to remember another remedy my rheumatologist used and that was
steroid shots in the wrists of both hands. It didn't work for me and so I just live with it. :(
