Do Some Of You Notice A Diffrence In Pain Tollerance, When You Switched To Non Chemical Products?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been reading peoples comments about switching products they use with less chemicals in them. I have been changing the lotions and body washes to clean chemical free and noticed my pain tolerance changing for the better. Is fibromyalgia pain cased by the chemicals we use daily?

Chemicals in foods & topical products do flair up my Fibro. I use Vanicream that is free of dyes, lanolin, masking fragrance, parabens, and formaldehyde for skin care and this decreases itching. Going gluten free has helped with the pain and I know this because when eating it, the pain returns. A food diary and environmental diary helps to identify triggers. Certain inks from newspapers and brochures cause a pin prick feeling all over my body, chest tightness and throat pain. Have not pinned down the exact source but know it is the cheaper inks so to help myself, using gloves to open mail helps prevent symptoms. The ink allergy has landed me in the ER so had to come up with a solution because ER visits are expensive.

Your right, not everyone. That is why doctors do not understand Fibromyalgia. Food allergies and sensitivities are also a trigger of Fibro pain. Some soy and all gluten are culprits because of the processing. Stress also triggers Fibro pain so there are a mirage of causes at that is why most doctors do not believe in it. There is nothing specific or set in stone for each person.

The only thing I know about chemicals we use is that I can no longer get my hair colored due to the chemicals.
