I have this kind of muscle spasms all over in back, neck and Shoulders. When I have muscle spasms in my shoulders I have sharp traveling pain that goes from under my arm to the elbow. My muscle spasms seem to release and then go tight for time and then just stay tight as a rock.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that muscle spasms are a common and often debilitating symptom of fibromyalgia, with many experiencing spasms throughout their bodies including the back, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, and even under the ribcage. Several members shared treatments that have helped them find relief, including muscle relaxers like Flexeril and Soma, magnesium or potassium supplements, chiropractic care with STEM treatments, Epsom salt baths, hot tub therapy, and medications like Lyrica or Neurontin for nerve-related pain. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of fibromyalgia spasms, the importance of checking for vitamin deficiencies that may worsen symptoms, and the value of combining multiple approaches to manage the constant tightness and pain.

Muscle spasms are common with Fibromyalgia, especially back spasms. I get Charlie horses a lot in my legs and feet too.

I had epidural shots in my upper neck should area and it has helped my pain, the numbness, and my ability to move my arms and neck.

To: Lucrecia, My doctor put me on generic (Soma) 350mg four times a day. It has helped me relax those muscles. If you do try it I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

I experience that also. It is an everyday issue. I just call it pain and am glad when it goes away. I also have medication to help me sleep.
