I am having lots of side effects from this medication and I am trying to decide if it is worth it. I have headaches, insomnia (worse) and stomach issue. I am so miserable..
I am also considerably depressed, but I am sure that is because my Dad passed away on October 28th. I was his sole caretaker, so I miss her so much. I loved him so much. I am lonely for him. So I don't think the depression has anything to do with it.

I am just starting on the sulfasalazine, I have inflammation in several joints. Does the stomach problems get better. I am in counseling and have taken a grief recovery course in the past when my Mom and Sister died 9 months apart.
Because u r in such a difficult situation right now, counseling could be very, very useful.
I'm sorry you lost your father. You have to stay healthy and get sleep so you don't trigger a flare.
Also I forgot to say, taking sulfasalazine means that you have to have regular blood tests to check liver and kidney function. mine are every three months, but were every week at first.
Hi ,I am taking sulfasalazine too.It is an imune system suppressant Have been on this medication for several years ,was prescribed it for sero negative arthritis rather than fibromyalgia, but I think it helps with both . I do not have the side affects that you describe however I also take omeprazole to protect my stomach and sertraline for depression . Have you just started taking sulfasalazine ?, it could just be your body getting used to the medication . They normally say it takes a couple of months to get used to a medication .
