Anyone els who have a hard time controlling their body temperature at night? Sometimes I don't only suffer from insomnia but I also can't control my body temperature. I can go from hot to cold really fast and it don't matter how many blankets I use or not use. I think the worst is when I have cold sweats at night.

Members overwhelmingly related to the frustrating experience of unpredictable body temperature swings at night, with many describing rapid shifts between burning hot and freezing cold that make restful sleep nearly impossible. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them find some relief, including keeping ice water at the bedside, using light duvets with feet exposed, running fans for both cooling and white noise, layering blankets that can be easily added or removed, and one member discovered their temperature swings were triggered by an inactive ingredient in sleep medication. A recurring theme was the profound exhaustion and brain fog that results from chronic sleep disruption, with members expressing solidarity and frustration that this symptom remains difficult to control despite creative workarounds.

This hot and cold change was happening to me....especially at night.....but also some during the day. After eliminating food from sensitivities testing, the day time situation went away in one day, then I saw that night problems started right after I took my medicine for sleep. I think it was an inactive ingredient. When eliminated I had sleep crisis, but hot and cold situation went away....a regular Dr and Nutrapathic Dr said this was allergy/ sensitivity.......a sign that it was, was that anti histamines helped. ..

Oh so sorry, it is not easy. I have heat intolerance and just love to be any where it is cold. No cure no meds just air cons showers and stay away from hot things & hot places.

Yes. My body temp had a mind of its own. I don't have a clue as to how to fix it. I use a fan at night (partially for the rhythm) and blankets that I kick off and pull on all night. I too suffer from insomnia. The only suggestion I have for that is to empty your mind. Thinking about everything is a part of insomnia.

I also suffer with my body temperature however it is all day and all night. I sleep on the couch because I have to be in a cold environment and keep the windows open when everyone else is cold. I also have insomnia really bad so even when I am exhausted I cannot sleep and when I take medicine to help me sleep I am so groggy that I cannot function. I can be dripping sweat one minute and freezing cold the next. I haven't found a way to control my body temperature and I wish I could be more helpful but you are definitely not alone. If anyone else suffers with this or you find anything that helps please educate me as well because I lack so much sleep I feel like I am going crazy and it definitely doesn't help my brain fog because I cannot concentrate. I wish you the best of luck and hope you find something that helps you.
