Members shared enthusiasm for using heating pads and electric blankets as essential tools for managing pain and promoting relaxation, with many calling their heating pad their best friend and using it nightly before bed or during sleep. Several members described specific routines that help them feel comfortable, including soaking in hot baths to relax muscles, sleeping in recliners for better breathing and temperature control, and layering heat sources even in summer when air conditioning triggers pain. A recurring theme was the psychological comfort that warmth provides, helping members feel cozy, soothed, and able to sleep more peacefully despite chronic discomfort.

I always use my electric blanket. I could no longer do with out it. It even keeps my bones warm. I also use it in the summer because the ac makes me hurt. This is my second electric blanket. I just get the twin size because my husband gets too hot. Plus it is cheaper.

I sleep a lot better on my recliner than in bed. Sometimes in bed I feel like I am suffocating and I get hot all over...very strange then I have to get up and go downstairs to the recliner. I never get that feeling on my recliner. I'd sleep on the recliner all the time but I know it makes my hubby feel lonely and sad.
