Members rallied around a mother of four struggling with fibromyalgia fatigue, offering compassionate and creative strategies for managing energy while caring for her family. Several members shared practical approaches including prioritizing essential tasks, scheduling rest periods between activities, enlisting family help with chores, working during TV commercial breaks, and going to bed early to maximize sleep. A recurring theme was the importance of being gentle with yourself, building recharge time into your daily routine, and finding small ways to maintain the parts of life you love while accepting help from partners, family, and even neighbors when energy is low.

I have a family and work as a supervisor in local hospital. I use the television to help me with work and rest breaks at home, I accomplish a lot, which makes me feel better about my diminished stamina. During the program I rest, and I work during the commercial breaks, ie empty dishwasher, change the clothes, fold a load, scrub the toilet or microwave. I have adapted this into my every day routine for years, those rest breaks help me exponentially and I have very few days that I cannot accomplish everything that needs to be done. Take Care, I hope this helps you. Be well and gentle with yourself.

Get organized. Do only what's needed if it's a bad day. And work/ clean/ do chores to upbeat music - it's very helpful! Try to carpool with neighbors if possible and take short naps to help boost energy when possible.
