Hey Fibro Fam,

Has anyone ever had their C.R.P. (c-reactive protein) levels show up elevated? Mine showed up extremely elevated in April along with extremely low vitamin D levels, which are indicative of Fibromyalgia. Elevated CRP seems to be related to Rheumatoid, cardiac conditions or cancer. I am not trying to look for anything that isn't there, but everything I read said Fibromyalgia is not associated with inflammation.

I suffer from inflammation daily. Has anyone ever a. suffered from… read more

Members discussed elevated CRP levels and inflammation alongside fibromyalgia diagnoses, with many sharing that their levels remain chronically high despite doctors often attributing fibromyalgia to non-inflammatory pain. Several members described managing inflammation through various approaches, including vitamin D supplementation for deficiencies, anti-inflammatory medications like naproxen or hydroxychloroquine, and dietary changes such as adding turmeric. A recurring theme was the confusion and frustration of having elevated inflammatory markers without a clear source, prompting referrals to rheumatologists to rule out overlapping conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or polymyalgia rheumatica.

I was diagnosted about 10 years ago and at first a thought that the medicine the drs offered me were going to solve the problem, little did I know!! The doctors never told me the magnitude of this condition. Ive been to 5 rehumatologists thinking the one before was wrong. Now I know they are right and I tru to cope every day with the pain.

This just happened to me after having a bout of extreme pain in my neck and could barely walk. CRp 1.90. My Dr. said start low dose prednisone. If it helps within 48 hours it is not Fibro it is polymyalgia rheumatica. Something to look in to. I don't like meds so I may be foolish, but I will be trying an anti inflammatory diet and lots of Turmeric.

Yes, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2009. Just had my CRP-1 level checked for the 1st time. It is 57. I am 62 female...It shouldn't be greater than 10.
