i suggest getting a lawyer that deals with ssd...they dont get paid unless u get the disability and its alot less headache for you...i tried on my own and got so frustrated, but once i got a lawyer everything went very smooth

To apply ssi you have to contact social security. You can go online, call them or apply in person. The sooner you apply the better. I'm not sure what you mean by services. There is no service available for fibro. Hope this helps

I went to our local ss office and applied for ssi/disability. They have forms you fill out. Then after forever they send you for a physical and mental evaluation. I applied in feb. Still haven't gotten a dime although every time I call they tell me it'll be soon. Good thing is they usually back pay you to the day they got your paperwork, like mine is April 7th. Until then though you are kind of screwed. If you have low income you can apply for foodstamps...
