Members responded to someone asking what hobbies remain enjoyable with fibromyalgia by sharing a wide variety of gentle, low-stimulation activities that help them cope with chronic pain while still finding joy and purpose. Many members described creative pursuits like knitting, crocheting, painting, journaling, cake decorating, and adult coloring as meditative and pain-distracting, with several emphasizing the importance of activities that can be done while sitting or resting on difficult days. A recurring theme was the shift from physically demanding hobbies to quieter, low-key pastimes, alongside deep appreciation for fibromyalgia support groups that offer understanding, laughter, and the comfort of not feeling alone.

I do mixed media art-I sew, paint, work with metal, and do art journaling. Its a great outlet for me. Even on my bad days I can sit in the living room with my kids and paint backgrounds or go over ideas. I hope this helps.

going to firo meetings with fellow suffers once a month helps as they all now exactly how you are feeling and we all make each other laugh and have a good time talking relaxed in a warm room. No stress and gets you out to see you are not alone.

I used to garden. I can't get up and down to do that any more. My house is full of plant's and I'm trying to get patio plant's that I can care for from a sitting position. I used to write before I had children, rent all that adult stuff. Now that I can't do a lot of physical things I've taken it up again. I think it helps to have an activity that you enjoy.
