FM caused me to loose my boyfriend of 4years.He is an amazing person and easily works six days a week with some 12 hr shifts. I think he got tired doing so much for me.
But I believe I must be able to find someone that love me for who I am. Can someone give me hope? I do have God in my life but want a person to love.

Hi Hun I have 3 children and was diagnosed with FM 5 yrs ago when my youngest child was about 9months old, myself and my children's dad separated when my youngest son was just over a year old due to his drinking problems etc but I re-married in June this year and my now husband is amazing with me and my FM we have been together 3 & half years and has always known about my FM he understands and is great with the kids and looks after me and when it really bad and I can't even walk upstairs he will do what Eva he can to help and support me that could be cooking tea once he in from work to putting my youngest son to bed to running me a bath and bringing my medication to me.He loves me for who I am and he knows how much I hate being in pain and that i hate how life is for me now to how I used to be,my FM has got a lot worse over the past 2 years but he still stood by me and wanted to marry me which made me realise he truly loves me and understands that FM is part of not it doesn't define me.so have faith and be yourself the right person will come along when u least expect it xx
Hi, I have been dealing with fibro about 27 years now. It takes a special person to stay with you some just can't handle the added responsibility and work that it requires. However, my children were 5 &2 at the time of diagnosis and my husband has stayed with me through thick and thin. He is a special kind of man and we have been married 37 years now. I know when first diagnosed most women in my support group were in awe of the fact my husband stayed with me, theirs had left. Hang in there I believe there is a special person for all of us. On the other side of the coin, he has taken care of me for many years and now it is my turn to take care of him as he now has Parkinsons so the caring often goes both ways. :)
I meet my boyfriend right after I got diagnosed, we been together a year and he's been great, he as a lot of the same symptoms so he understands. If i hurt to much to do dinner he will, he feeds my dog, takes care of her for me, and doesn't push about a dirty house!!! I do believe he's a gift from God,
so keep faith God choice for you is out there somewhere!!! Soft Hugs to you!!!
Yes, it is possible. After two failed marriages and putting myself through school as a single mom, I never expected to find love. However, I met my soulmate two years ago and I have so much love and support from him. I had to get to the realization that God knew what is best for me and hold onto hope. You will be in my prayers.
Before I was diagnosed my ex I was with 5.5 years split up with me, pretty much tired of everything having to do with my fibro. 2 months after we split I was diagnosed, 2 months after that I met my husband and shortly after got pregnant with our first child. It can happen and will, I found him when I wasn't looking :-)
