It caused me to lose my high paying supervisor job. Shortly after they retired me to disability. I don't think it is possible to focus when in fibro fog.
It is a struggle but in South Africa, we have no real social welfare system and you can only get disability for life threatening illnesses, so we have to work and just push through. Keen to speak to my Dr about some of the medicine suggestions though.
I agree. It isn't possible to focus through fibro fog especially in an office environment. There are just too many factors to take you down. The lights drove me crazy, the multiple voices through cubicle walls blew any chance of concentrating, the headaches are excruciating and the germs the others bring in the office are sure to get you. I couldn't think and when I did, I couldn't remember what I was thinking!
I wrecked and totaled my car taking a deposit to bank for work! Fibro fog all the way! I know sometimes my customers have to believe either I'm crazy or drunk! I can hear myself slur and stutter and lose words it's terrible!
I am a Nurse and need to be on top of my game at all times. I struggled with fibro fog and felt unsafe so I took time off work for a short time. My MD put me on Vyvanse which has made a difference and I am able to work now.
