Hi all... Has anyone been given morphine to help their pain management? I have tried most of the meds everyone else on here and those that are helpfuhave awful side effects.. The pain has got so bad & I'm spending more days in bed.... Would love to hear if anyone else is or has used them. Thanks & gentle hugs... :)

I have Norspan patch, replaced every 7 days, I only notice if I'm late taking it or forget to put one back on after taking other off, yes allergy to adhesive, but in summer the whole site gets a rash, Si I look like a patchwork quilt with various stages of healing, and lower back definitely!
I use Adhesive material tape that breathes, during summer first hot day they slip off,so on goes the tape, but side effect it makes the rash worse...
And I get 20 endone tablets a month so I have to pick the worst days to take them, so on so so days I suck it up.
Cheers bec

I am on a low dose fentanyl patch and have been using them for awhile now. They last 72 hours and you change them every three days. I have a sensitivity to the adhesives that are used and have to use the Mylan brand. I occasionally have trouble with them staying on which can be a big problem since the pharmacy will not fill the RX if you are too early. i get two boxes a month- 10 patches total. I have found that wearing them on my lower back is the best place to apply them. In the summer I will use a tegaderm with my patch, especially if i will be swimming. hope this helps...
