Members responded to a question about lower belly pain by sharing their own experiences with sharp abdominal pain, particularly in the lower right side, with many describing episodes so severe they felt nauseated or nearly passed out. Several members mentioned conditions like diverticulitis and IBS as possible causes, with one member recounting waking at 3 AM with excruciating pain and bloating that kept them awake for hours. A recurring theme was the frustration of unexplained pain even after medical testing, with members offering practical advice to consult a gastroenterologist and consider whether medications might be contributing factors.

Do you have any history of diverticulitis? I was diagnosed with diverticulitis when I was 32 yrs old . I will be 63 September 12 th . It is very painful . I woke up about 3:00 am this morning this some of the worse pain I think I've ever had . It is in my lower right abdomen . I don't know if it is the diverticulitis or something else . I felt bloated and to me it felt like I have a lot of inflammation. What some wicked pain . It keep me awake until about 6:30 am this morning . It seems to me that everyday something else has jumped on me that causes more pain . Pain on top of pain .

No I don't think I have diverticulitis but some time the pain is so bad I almost pass out and I am nauseated. Then in an hour or so I have the worse case of diarrhea
