Members confirmed that breaking teeth and constant dry mouth are common experiences, with many attributing it to medications, fibromyalgia itself, or related conditions like Sjogren's syndrome. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including using moisturizing ointments or mouth sprays, chewing sugar-free gum, keeping water nearby at all times, and in some cases seeking dental solutions like extractions when the problem became unmanageable. A recurring theme was the frustration of not knowing the exact cause, as doctors often gave conflicting explanations, but finding relief through trial and error with hydration, specialty dental products, and managing stress-related teeth grinding.

Hard candy or a (sugar free) chewing gum are also helpful in relieving dry mouth.

Yes. It is part of my Sjogrens though. I use a moisturizing ointment. I have even put natural oils (the kind for consumption) in my mouth before bed. There are products to keep your mouth more moist. This helps with dental problems.
