I agree. I know that my cycle makes me even more fatigued since i have had this diagnosis for a year, my cramps feel worse and the headache and weakness in muscles are worse. The gyno is the one who said nothing is wrong with me that with fibro things like changes in hormones can trigger a flare even a mild one. If the weather which is not in our body can trigger a flare then hormones can as well
Yes! Warm baths, heating pads, ibuprofen, peppermint essential oil applied to the back and lower abdomen, chamomile tea, hibiscus tea. :) some things that help me
Oh yes it does. It has a lot to do with fibro. As a teenager I was placed in the hospital twice, pain pills did me no good. The only thing that could give me was sleeping pills. I missed 5 to 7 days of school every month. It has a whole lot to do with that. As a teenager I was placed in the hospital twice, pain pills did me no good. Please do not tell some one that it is not connected. I am living proof and I know others.

Lots of heat and rest. My periods not only cause me to flare but I also have abnormal bleeding and ovulation cysts. The only thing that really did help was getting rid of my cycle completely. Started with Lybrel when i was 17, switched to Depo Provera when that stopped working and just last month had an IUD put in. Sometimes regular birth control can help people lessen their cramps and flow, but it didn't work for me.
I'm currently taking birth control for three months on and one week off. So instead of getting my flare up for a week and a half every month, I only have it once every three months. That's the best it seems to get. But I'm looking for other answers.
