Okay fellow fibro friends, my questions is what types of drug combinations do you take for your fibro? Pros/cons? just went off cymbalta and currently taken only neurontin at night, and occasional as needed ultram. Well I can feel my muscle as tight and no matter what I do they aren't relaxing. Have Xanax as needed for anxiety so after the pain kept getting worse I took one and it kinda helped. But isny something I want to do forever. So any suggestions I would be grateful

Members shared their medication combinations for managing fibromyalgia symptoms, with several finding relief through Trazodone for sleep and pain, Lyrica paired with Norco for pain management, and muscle relaxants like Flexeril or Soma when symptoms flare. Many emphasized the importance of working closely with doctors when adjusting medications, particularly when weaning off drugs like Cymbalta, and several members offered non-medication strategies including daily Epsom salt baths with baking soda for temporary muscle relief. A recurring theme was the challenge of balancing effective pain control with unwanted side effects, with members encouraging each other to advocate for adjustments and not wait until pain becomes unbearable before taking prescribed medications.

I have been taking Trazodone for my Fibro for 5 years now. It's not really a Fibro drug but it has been used to help the symptoms with success. I started with a small dose and I now take 150mgs every night. It actually took away the majority of my symptoms and it also helps with sleep. I no longer wake up feeling like someone beat me in my sleep.

If you can get into a bathtub, put 1cup Epsom salt and 1/2cup baking soda. I don't have access to meds right now so I've been soaking for 30 minutes everyday. It does not cure it but it eases it up to where I can get stuff done or sleep. The warmth of the water will hurt for a few seconds but it does give awesome relief for a few hours.
