Do not worry about what other people think. Take your pain meds if they work. These people are easy to judge but are NOT in your body!! I quit worrying about what other people say a long time ago. We need some quality to our lives!!!!

I've tried gabapentin and can't take more than 30mg or um drousy and unable to drive.
I'm on clonazepam for muscle spasms & oxycontin and oxynorm for pain relief. Some days it helps but on my worst days it barely touches the sides. I am also taking Effexor for depression. As the above person said u can't worry what others think. Until they have walked in our shoes they have no right to judge. Do what's best for u

Muscle relaxers great, also Savella, try Baclofen if you cannot tolerate gabapentin any longer. Baclofen is not as harsh, been taking it for 12 yrs with no problem, Bacloofen does the same thin gabapentin does, need an anti anxiety and depression agent. At least you'll be more relaxed and happy!!!

I am like you in that I don't want others to judge me because of the meds I take, soooooo, I take them as my doc tells me to and then, I don't tell anyone else and keep them locked up so nobody can find them. BUT I also am a naturalist and attempt to manage most of my pain myself. I am an Herbologist and I enjoy looking for and creating items that will help me from all natural things. Just like bananas are full of potassium and if you eat one a day, they help with leg cramps. And did you know taking one cinnamon tablet every day, makes your sugar levels more level!! Works for me...

I get these in my hands and face. I still don't know what causes it, because of course it never does it where the Dr. can see. The tightness is just a part of fibro. You may find stretching will help. I use resistance bands and a balance ball it helps.
