@A MyFibroTeam Member When my fingers get cold, sometimes they hurt so bad I run hot water over them. A trick I learned as a nurse: Sometimes I would get so cold at work, my teeth were chattering and my lips were blue. Running hot water over your inner wrist helps you warm up all over. I would just do it until I warmed up. Works well for times you are in public.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, @A MyFibroTeam Member If it is just your legs and feet that get so cold, it is could be poor circulation. Try taking a warm shower. If that works, grab some warm socks. With Raynauds, there is color change--red, white, and/or blue and pain. The white is actually a yellowish color. If you have ever seen a dead person's hand (excuse me) that is exactly what it looks like. I have had it for a number of years, but it was tolerable. Oh, another thing, if you have poor circulation or Raynaud's, don't smoke and limit your caffeine intake.
Raynauds is a pain! I can't handle cold things without a little pain. My fingers turn that white-yellow color, then blue before the color returns. It can last an hour or two or return several times in a day. Of course, warming up helps. My doctor suggested I take two baby aspirins every night. She wasn't sure that it would help, but it seems to have helped. I just have to watch for signs of bleeding, such as excess bruising.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I don't know if you use artificial sweeteners in your tea or anything else, but if you do, you need to stop. They just make fibromyalgia symptoms worse.and they can cause migraines.
Good tip thank you will try that next time I need it. I'll let you know how I get on.
