A few weeks ago, I had a rash that wasn't visible but was driving me crazy. I went to my wonderful family practice/internist and he had no answers. I asked for the Shingles medicine. I had had Shingles twice, and the innoculations for it, but I couldn't figure out this new condition. Shingles usually affects only one side of your body, but my Shingles spread all over both times. This new itch was all around my waist on both sides. Anyway, I took the medicine for a week, and of course, it was… read more

Members shared experiences with mysterious, invisible itching that often worsens during fibromyalgia flares, with many describing sensations like bugs crawling under the skin that move to different locations and sometimes cause scratching until the skin breaks open. Several members found relief through antihistamines like Benadryl for fast but short-term help or Claritin for longer-lasting 24-hour relief, along with hydrocortisone cream, cold showers, and cornstarch for healing welts and sores. A recurring theme was the frustration of finding limited solutions that truly address the deep, relentless itch, with members expressing hope that doctors will eventually provide better answers for this common yet poorly understood fibromyalgia symptom.

I have been tested for diabetes and it's always negative, I have a prescription cream that works on the hands, and easiest up the itching on the feet, but it doesn't prevent the blisters.

Yes I get it too and even scratch my skin open in my sleep. When it gets bad I take Benadryl or Claritin because nothing else works like these. Benadryl works faster but is a shorter duration, Claritin is a 24 hour pill but seems to take. a little longer to kick in.

My legs get really itchy. Sometimes Hydrocortisone cream will help and an antihistamine too.

My hands and feet are like that, but those started to crack and blister, my dermatologist come to the conclusion I have eczema. It's like I just became allergic to shoes, and anything I touch. My heels have large holes where the skin blisters and peels off.
