I have always had a high threshold of pain. I can block induced pain out even being tickled I can block it out so I'm not ticklish or hurting. K so growing up I grew up with boys and we would wrestle all the time. I would laugh if I got hurt and the pain would go away

Members bonded over the puzzling contrast of being able to tolerate intense external pressure, like deep tissue massage, while experiencing debilitating pain from everyday fibromyalgia symptoms or minor bumps. Several members shared that Biofreeze roll-on, TENS units, and personalized massage techniques from trusted partners or therapists have been helpful tools for managing upper back pain and muscle stiffness, with many agreeing that the green Biofreeze formula works better than the white version. A recurring theme was the high pain tolerance many have developed, sometimes expressed through unexpected laughter during flare-ups, and the profound relief of connecting with others who understand that the pain is real and not all in their head.

I also use Biofreeze roll-on. It was recommended to me by my massage therapist. It does help the upper back pain.

Bio freeze is a topical cold therapy pain relief gel. I like the roll on so my hands stay free. www.biofreeze.com (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)

I'm the same way, and I have the tendency with more pain I laugh more, so my family knows now that the more I laugh and giggle they know I'm really in more pain or I would be crying instead.
