Members shared experiences with pressure and pain around the upper abdomen and rib area when tired, with many describing it as feeling like an elephant sitting on their chest or a squeezing sensation that makes breathing difficult. Several members noted the pain worsens during fibromyalgia flares or weather changes, and many found relief by removing bras at home, though some emphasized the importance of ruling out serious conditions like heart problems, gallbladder issues, or appendicitis with a doctor. A recurring theme was the value of keeping a symptom log, staying hydrated, managing medication-related constipation with laxatives like senna or Miralax, and never assuming all pain is fibromyalgia-related, as members shared stories of emergency surgeries that initially seemed like typical fibro symptoms.

Dr once told me never assume your symptoms are FM related, you could miss something important, I've been getting a sharp pain there also n put it down to scare tissue as I have small incision under both breasts from a lift I had 7 years ago, never thought it could be FM related. This is just my 2nd day in this site and I love the advise that you all give me :) I too suffer from chronic constipation but 2 years ago had an emergency gallbladder removal and full body wash out of all 4 quadrants due to the what I thought was 'wind' from my constipation.... The gallstones I had exploded and I'm lucky to be here to tell the story today.... Please don't assume your pain is from another source like I did, it could be fatal 😬

Always get a tightness in that area. Kinda like a vice and or something sitting on my chest. Swore forever it was my heart but doctors swear it's not. We have so many nerves and organs in that region it's hard to figure out.
