Has anyone been to pain management? What treatments do they have, etc. Have they done you any good. Just wondering what they do for people with fibro.

Members shared their varied experiences with pain management for fibromyalgia, with treatments ranging from trigger point injections, steroid injections, and sciatic nerve ablations to medication adjustments like Lyrica and Cymbalta. Several members described specific interventions that provided temporary relief, including dry needling to release tight muscles, lidocaine infusions, and back ablations lasting over a year, though many noted that results were inconsistent and costs could add up quickly. A recurring theme was the value of pacing yourself throughout the day, setting realistic goals, and taking time to reflect on pain management strategies even when initial sessions felt unhelpful.

Yes, I have been. Had the trigger point injections, plus injections in back and knees, never helped me at all. One thing that did help at the pain management was having my sciatic nerve burnt, That helped for about 6 months.

Dry needling. Most Dr.'s cannot do it because they cannot charge you for it - it contains no medicine. Its just a needle that goes into the deepest part of your muscles that are like rocks. It actually makes it release for a while. My pain Dr. did it without the practice knowing.

Pain management helps me because I get back ablasions and they last over a year. It think my worst problem is the osteoarthritis though. It becomes very costly though.

Hi there I have been to pain management although at the time I thought it was a bit of a waste of time I have to say over the years I have thought a lot about suggestions and ideas and used them them the best way I can... But the best advice I can give anyone is to learn to pace yourself ,,,, organise what goals you want for that day and Pace - achieve - Pace - achieve slowly through your day🌹hope this helps🌹X
