Well, I have been in the medical field for over 30 years and drew blood most of the time. If you lose weight your veins stick out, as you get older you lose the elasticity in your skin that hold's your veins. Drinking more water makes your veins larger, and gaining weight makes them harder to see. If your vein move tell the phelbotimist to hold the vein with their finger and they should get it. I just had my feet swell up really bad and the veins on my right foot were immensely sticking up and hurt! My husband couldn't believe it when he saw it. @A MyFibroTeam Member - did you ever find out what was causing it?

@A MyFibroTeam Member That's funny that you mentioned that about your veins rolling, I had to go to get some blood tests done just yesterday and the strangest thing happened. When the technician went to take my blood first of all she couldn't get my veins up and that is truly unusual for me I have never had a problem with that my veins always came up right away. So she finally got them up she went to take my blood and as she stuck the needle in the vein jumped out of the way. So needless to say she had to try again and she got it the second time but she found it very strange the way my vein jumped out of the way. That is when I told her that I had fibro and with that everything is jumping.around all the time. I just found it strange that you mentioned the veins when that had just happened. Hugs

Yes, I have noticed mine showing up so much more. My legs are so skinny, it makes them show up even worse.
