Do Any Of You Use Essential Oils?

Do Any Of You Use Essential Oils?

I just received my package and I was wondering what blends of oils do you find helpful? I have been in a flare for awhile now and soooo frustrated with my body. Please post what oils you use and what do you find its helpful for. Thank you!

I use 2/3 drops to 20ml carrier oil, there are some good books on amazon that will show you safe ways to use oils. Aromatherapy needs to be practiced with caution as most oils have contra-indications e.g. some can alter blood pressure or cause photo sensitivity to the skin, some are not suitable for use in pregnancy etc. Don't be put off though, when done right aromatherapy can work wonders, good luck xxx

When I trained in aromatherapy they taught us the only two oils that can be used neat are Lavender and Tea Tree all others should be blended with a carrier oil. Also only buy oils that are in dark glass bottles, oils sold in clear bottles are not likely to be good quality or even 100% essential for that matter. Hope this helps xxx

My favourite is Clary Sage, to aid relaxation, I also like black pepper and bergamot to help warm achey joints. We are all different though so enjoy experimenting to find the right blend for you and don't forget to use a carrier oil. xx

@A MyFibroTeam Member a lot of health food stores carry essential oils, or you can buy them online. Costs vary greatly depending upon the oil mainly and also the company/potency of the oil.
