Members shared their experiences with hair loss in relation to fibromyalgia, with many discovering that vitamin B12 deficiency, thyroid issues, or specific medications were contributing factors, and some seeing improvement after B12 injections, medication changes, or dietary adjustments like going gluten-free. Several members described the emotional toll of watching their once-thick hair thin dramatically, with one member's hairdresser being the first to notice medication-related thinning that improved after switching treatments. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating for thorough bloodwork, especially thyroid testing, and recognizing that hair loss can be a real symptom of fibromyalgia even when doctors don't immediately connect the dots.

Yes, but mine started with my Celiac Disease diagnosis and it slowed down after gluten free. Gray hairs disappeared, too.

I just found an article that is titled EXPANDED LIST OF SYMPTOMS OF FIBROMYALGIA. The website is http://abarnabas.tripodcom/indexfibrosymptoms.html It lists hair loss as one of the symptoms. It's terribly hard for a woman to lose her hair. :(
