How many hours do you typically sleep (or you could say on a good night vs bad)?

I usually sleep at least 10 hours, am still exhausted and can nap during the day if I sit down anywhere...

Members shared their experiences with the question about sleep hours, revealing a common struggle where the amount of sleep matters far less than its quality, with most reporting they never feel truly rested regardless of whether they sleep 2 hours or 10. Several members described practical approaches they use to cope, including Benadryl, warm milk with cinnamon, CPAP therapy for sleep apnea, and medications like Provigil or Nuvigil to manage daytime exhaustion, while others are pursuing sleep studies to better understand their issues. A recurring theme was the physical and emotional toll of chronic sleep deprivation, including guilt over lost productivity, constant exhaustion that worsens other symptoms, difficulty finding comfortable positions due to pain, and the frustration of feeling misunderstood by those who don't live with these conditions.

There's a med that will help you with that problem. It's called Provigil or Nuvigil. Either one of them are good. I take Provigil during the day to keep me awake. You can research it and ask your doctor about it. Good luck.๐Ÿ™

I sleep at least 10 hours at night and on days off i take about a 3 hour nap and sometimes I feel its not enough. I have on occasion I have stayed in bed all day and slept off and on. I call that cancelling the day and it makes me feel guilty Cruz I get nothing done. I try my best to keep up with a job and house but sometimes I have to to give myself permission to take care of me

I only sleep for a couple of hours at a time, three if I'm lucky because I can never get in a comfortable position. I also have to keep getting up to change position. I often cat nap. Must be why I'm forever exhausted!
