Muscle Relaxers
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have seen that some of you take muscle relaxers and I would like to know what kinds & if they work well. I feel like my body is constantly tense. Thanks for any help

I take zanaflex at night to help me to relax enough to get some sleep My pain is so bad that I can not relax and get any rest without them....I have tried flexaril and other muscle relaxers but zanaflex is the absolute best. Also if I am having a terrible day I will take them and try to rest more.

I take Zanaflex 4 mg, 3 times a day. It doesn't help a lot, but enough to make a difference.

I've had the flexeril just stop working. I use the robaxin (methocarbomol) now.

I take Cyclobenzaprine. I was waking up crying from the muscle cramping in my legs. It doesn't get rid of "everything" but it helps a lot. I don't wake up in tears. It doesn't stop knife cutting pain or taser like pain, so I deal with that as it comes and goes Lord only knows when. It has stopped my thumb and index finger from pulling into my palm. I take 10mg at bedtime and I have no side effects from it.
