I have terrible finger, thumb and hand pain....and also toe pain. The doctor says it is arthritis. IT is a different type of pain than my fibro...and I often find myself rubbing my hands because they hurt so badly. They make some gloves for hand/finger pain....they do help me some but are not practical for keeping on doing things much.
I just started having pain in my thumb on my right hand with shooting pain going down to the pad of the thumb I looked it up online and it says could be caused by osteoarthritis. And my mother had this so I think that it what mine is caused from too
Yes, I actually just started getting this recently. It runs down my hand straight through my index finger and it hurts. I hold it, rubbing it. I also get a weird feeling in my hand like inside is a guitar string and someone plucked it. I've had that before. It feel weird and I don't like it.
Yes my rheumatologist told me it was osteoarthritis too.....cymbalta did nothing for me...I am on an anti-inflammatory but that doesn't help either. I LOVED being on prednisone but it is so hard on your body=-plus lots of weight gain....
I have this pain also. It seems much worse at night.
