Has anyone noticed any changes to their skin? A friend was giving me some lotions & I pointed out that the skin on my forearms has gotten really dry & scaly. She said another friend of hers had just been diagnosed with Fibro & had been told that this is part of it. No one's told me that yet so was wondering if anyone else had heard of it.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing significant skin changes with fibromyalgia, including extremely dry and scaly patches (especially on forearms), itchy rashes that sometimes travel across the body, bumpy or wavy fingernails, and hair thinning or loss. Several members shared strategies that have helped them manage these symptoms, including thick body butters and creams without fragrances, oatmeal baths, Aveeno products with aloe, cortisone creams prescribed by doctors, and prednisone for severe itching. A recurring theme was uncertainty about whether these changes stem directly from fibromyalgia itself or from the medications used to manage it, along with frustration that many doctors offer little guidance beyond acknowledging it as part of the condition.

I went back to my allergist. He tells me I'm allergic to dairy.
But I also think it is the Fibro too. I've had this rash for over 15 yrs
I scratch so much I make it bleed. I will tell you prednisone helps a lot
He also gave me a cream to put on. When I pick it up tomorrow I will let all of you know

I would like to know what kind/brand of body butter or cream works best - without leaving a thick, greasy layer - for extremely dry feet and hands. I put cream or body butter on my feet at night and by morning or mid-day, my feet are dry again. I've tried a ton of lotions, creams, etc and nothing seems to last very long.
