Members enthusiastically confirmed that fibromyalgia pain often moves to new sites after even minor physical contact or everyday activities, with many describing how blood pressure cuffs, blood draws, haircuts, and vacuuming can trigger pain that lasts for days and spreads in a domino effect to surrounding areas. Several members shared that while new pain sites flare intensely, the original pain never fully disappears, and environmental factors like cold or rainy weather can make everything worse. A recurring theme was the surprising and isolating nature of these flares, as activities most people consider routine become unexpectedly excruciating.

I find my pain increases when I have to do something for someone I don't like much. The only way I can do it is reward myself afterward. Oddly, chocolate works like a charm and thanks to fibro fog, pretty soon I can't remember what I was so annoyed about.

Had my hair cut 4 weeks ago and did everything in my power not to cry. Her shampooing my hair and drawing up to cut was excruciating. Never had that before!!
