Find another Doctor, ASAP. There are some that appear to be either uninterested or not well educated on treating fibro. There are still a few out there that still think this is all in our head. For them it's "yes, honey, and the rest of my body as well." I've discover you must be your own advocate to try an better your health with this disease. Let's face it, all of us that have fibro are tough. You have to be to cope with this misearble stuff. :)

I look to women docs because they often actually listen. I look for young docs who read journals. Friends r still the best source. I chose child psychiatrists who are also board certified in neurology. And if the office staff r kind, and the office plants aren't dead, that's a good sign too.

Right on, Karolyn. Some of the younger Dr seem to be much more open to trying to treat this stuff. And don't seem to be a bit put off by suggesting additional alternate therapies. A nice change from some of the idiots I've run across.

I agree with Cathy, keep looking. You know it was my shrink that my PC sent me to that actually sent a letter back to my PC to check me for fibro! So you never know who will be able to help.
