Comfort is not usually a word surrounding Fibromyalgia sufferers. But I have to tell you, I'm so happy that I have come up with this idea. Some of you may have already known this trick and maybe I'm the last one to know. But at a risk of sounding ridiculous, here it goes. I have suffered with the pain of fibromyalgia along with the rest of you. I must say, even wearing clothes gets painful at times. I especially dislike wearing shorts or jeans or skirts. Basically anything around my waistline. Well, I decided to think outside the box, and tried on a few maternity pants with the stretch waist band. And I must say, they feel wonderful. The only thing is you need to go down a size from your regular size. And, I don't mind that part. But seriously, I will forever only shop in the maternity department. I bought shorts, capris and even a cute top. I'm not that big, mind you but since menopause I have gained some around the mid waist area. But I've always hated that line around my waist and the fact that these new jean styles fit lower and always seem to cut into me. Not anymore! I can sit, squat, indian style sit, whatever I like and is super comfy. The band even acts like a spandex holding in my stomach. So there, I've confessed. :) I just love them too. Now I not afraid to shop anymore, knowing I will always have that comfy fit.

There are only a couple of things that I have a problem with wearing; the #1 thing is a BRA!! I really wish I didn't have to wear one...I am so ready to burn them all!! I even tried that "Genie" bra and hated that as well! Turtlenecks, anything that is constricting. During the summer months I am mainly in tank tops, I also wear them inside during the winter because I am a walking "hot flash"!! As for jeans, I buy the ones that have a little stretch to them. I also need a good, comfy and supportive shoe...prefer Sketchers.

Oh my thank you now I just have to move where people where cloths. hahahah I live in ak and we are cloths deprived. Sweat pants, stretch pants, people just don't dress here. Perfect place for fibro. Everyone is mean, in sweats, and their hair is sloppy in a tie pulled back. Really got separated from my ride at the store and ran around looking for her. Description, heavy, hair in sloppy pony, black hoddy, black pull on pants, that was everyone in the store! Funny stuff. I am from Ohio it isn't like that there. Then moved to Az. When I get back there will run to the store and try your fab idea. Thanks. Hate wearing bras. Alaska is great for that too. Cant tell under all the layers.

I wear a sports bra all stretch and elastic when I have to. its more comfortable for me than a regular bra.

I can't go bra free because I have big boobs and because of my Fibro, they hurt too much when they hang. Lol! I even have to wear one when I sleep because they flop around when I turn over. I don't do shorts anymore because I'm too worn out most of the time to shave my legs.

I just want to shout out a great big thanks to everyone, this is changing my life just knowing that the things I suffer are real. I have had so many doctors say I'm fine even when they know I have FM. It seems to me that most of them have no idea what the hell that even means. You guys have really saved my life.....thank you!
