Members discussing comorbid conditions with fibromyalgia described a wide range of diagnoses, including Lupus, Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr virus, CMV, Raynaud's, arthritis, asthma, diabetes, and PTSD, with many expressing that their list of conditions keeps growing over time. Several members shared their appreciation for doctors who treat each condition individually rather than attributing everything to fibromyalgia, noting that this approach helps reduce confusion and ensures proper care for symptoms that may not be fibro-related. A recurring theme was the uncertainty of when these conditions actually began, the challenge of managing multiple diagnoses at once, and the sense that fibromyalgia may be the body's reaction to accumulated physical and emotional trauma.

Fibromyalgia is often a comorbid condition to other primary conditions which trigger it, i have read. I myself have hypermobility syndrome which i consider my main and had glandular fever as a teen. I was raped in 2008 and now have pstdwhich made my fibro much worse than ever before. I am also in the menopause which is a curse in itself! The human body can only take so much before it reacts. I think fibro is that reaction. It is all a balancing act after you realise that.

My doctor has never clustered it all together either. She treats everything as its own thing. I like that as well because it can be confusing enough without them doing that.

@ ShereeRomkeyGonzalez I am still learning how to use this too I'm sure someone will let us know if we're doing something wrong. somehow I broke my computer screen so I am having to learn how to do everything on my kindle and it is set up differently * I try not to think about the long list of medical diagnoses and that it keeps getting longer it seems like there's something new every time I turn around most related to fibro and CFS but not everything thankfully my Dr doesn't blame everything on fibro and treats it as something new and figures it out medically sometimes it's fibro related but not always I hope everyone is having a good and low pain day butterfly hugs
