Falling Apart But I Haven't Had A Cold Or Flu For Over 14 Years.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have many many physical things going on but I haven't had a cold or flu for over 14 years. Back then I started taking supplements for my issues. I also had been working in a school health office and had been exposed to so many little viruses. Right now I am having a sinus issue due to the weather but it is not a virus. Does anybody else stay fairly healthy while falling apart?

In the last 10 plus years I have had the flu only once, it was H1N1 that I got when I took my sister to the hospital with H1N1 pnumonia and while getting her out of the car, she coughed right in my face. Ohterwise, I dont get sick that way much at all, I do get asthma flairups because of seasonal allergies, but not viruses or bacteria.

I just googled this questi2on, and I see here that there ARE others out there with the same situation of having terrible fibromyalgia and chronic pain, yet I rarely get a flu or cold. In fact, I've lived in this house 9 years and I've not been sick with anything other than "my illnesses" that are not flus or colds, but handicaps (fibro, peripheral neuropathy, joint damage and degenerative disk disease. Before that I know it had also been several years. 2002 is the last year I had a feverish flu that I thought would kill me. I may have had a cold the next year, and that is it. There must be some relation... Any ideas?

Under Medical history be sure to a list of your current symptoms (not just the ones you have been treated for and diagnosed as having), your limitations, and your medication. As you can tell filing for disability and trying to survive the waiting process is a lot of work. I wouldn't have been able to handle it if I held a job at the time, but everyone is different.

Me too I am just going through a week long bout with non infected croup and post nasal drainage (weather triggered). So, I do get stuff but don't get infection or virus with it.
