Has anyone used or are using Botox treatments to get rid of chronic migraines.

Has anyone used or are using Botox treatments to get rid of chronic migraines.

I have finally seen a migraine specialist and he has recommended Botox injections to reduce my 24/7 chronic migraines.
I truly appreciate any feedback on this including side effects if any.

Gabapentin , LDN, Med management, Pain Management

Gabapentin , LDN, Med management, Pain Management

I am currently weaning off of Amitriptyline. It did help my sleep but left me a bit groggy. I’ve found that a mild or sometimes a stronger muscle relaxer is needed for fibro and muscle, joint pain due to neck and spine issues to help pain so l can sleep. I also take a low dose of Clonazepam, I’ve heard to can interfere with deep sleep, but trying to withdraw from it is difficult.
It has been suggested that l try Cymbalta or Trazadone instead of Amitriptyline.

Anybody have rib aches and pains?

Anybody have rib aches and pains?

My ribs have been sore and achy the past couple of weeks. I have costochondritis but that usually hurts me in the middle of my chest. This is more close to where my underwire in my bra rests. Wondering if it’s maybe from wearing underwire or if it’s from something else. Also, a couple of weeks ago I had some sore knots around the same place but they weren’t right on the rib, more between the skin and fat, if that makes sense. My primary care doctor felt them and didn’t seem… read more

Does anyone have a lot of difficulty with their hands?

Does anyone have a lot of difficulty with their hands?

It seems like for years now that bending my hands to either grip a pen or hold a bowl causes the hand to cramp. I really like to make jewelry, cook, draw, write, and paint but it's become so difficult I rarely do my hobbies anymore. Does anyone know how to get my hands to become more functional? Any supplements that would be beneficial? Thank you

Morphine patch

Morphine patch

I have been on morphine patches for a couple of years ranging from 10mg to 30mg currently on 20mg and I want to get off them completley. My question is I am suffering terrible headaches which turn into daily migraines. Waking with a headache/migraine lasting all day and night. Could this be from the morphine patch which I’m starting to think so hence trying to wean off them. Appreciate any input.

Does anyone take cholesterol medication?

I was told by a chiropractor today that statin medications like Lipitor (which I take!) is most likely contributing to my joint pain. Has anyone else heard this?

Has anyone read and used the cookbook called "Fibromyalgia Freedom"? I have a question.

Has anyone read and used the cookbook called "Fibromyalgia Freedom"? I have a question.

The author lists the reintroduction foods and say to reintroduce them "in this order." The list is bulleted and in 3 columns. Do I read down or across?

Read it like a newspaper column I imagine. But uploading a picture like someone mentioned would help us figure it out together.

I have strength but no Stamina in My muscles

I have strength but no Stamina in My muscles

I have horrible upper and lower body pains (as does everyone here right?), well, I went to pt a while ago to do some water exercises, mind you I never got that far because I lost my insurance. Anyhow, when the therapist was working with me she said: "You have a lot of strength", but the way she said it was as if having the strength means I don't have an issue. Well, I may have strength in my muscles but that is because I am using all of my strength to use them and it… read more
