A mild muscle relaxer helps my esophageal spasm. I have also noted that when I have them it's is usually time to have my esophagus stretched. Have done that twice.

I just use Nexium and tums. Sometimes I forget nexium but never tums. Acid reflux hurts big time and it’s caused Barrett’s Esophagus which can turn to cancer.
