I am having painfully esophageal spasms and lots of heartburn and stomach upset. I have tried some home remedies and am now trying a blood pressure medicine.
Does anyone have pain when a larger piece of food hits back of throat, and the piece is not overly large, even something as smooth as hard boiled egg?
Anyone experience sharp spasms in upper abdomen?

Often diagnosed after everything else got "X"ed out.

So lately I have been having an odd feeling in my throat. It's like someone is pushing there thumb down on my Adams apple? It's not there all the time but a few times though out the day. It does last a while. Does anyone else ever have this?? If yes how do you deal with it?

This comes and goes, I have been diagnosed with both, and can't figure out what med to take!!!
A mild muscle relaxer helps my esophageal spasm. I have also noted that when I have them it's is usually time to have my esophagus stretched. Have done that twice.
My gastroenterologist prescribed it for my esophageal spasms and it also seems to be helping my fibro pain..
I have not had any side effects other than a dry mouth..

Anyone get what feels like stomach or intestinal spasms? I also have a hiatal hernia.
I just use Nexium and tums. Sometimes I forget nexium but never tums. Acid reflux hurts big time and it’s caused Barrett’s Esophagus which can turn to cancer.
When I am in a hot, hot bath, I feel no pain!I am the Queen of the Universe in that bath. I feel the world has been taken off my shoulders. I could stay there forever.
I also have that and a glass of cold water also makes it disappear.
