I know when I get a sore throat, it means I am in for a exhausted flu light time. My doctor and I think my stress/nerves cause me to have flare up,digestive issues, etc. I know in my heart that my Lord and Savior is the only one that knows me and what I need done. I appreciate all the encouragement from this site. Hugs to all..

That flu-like, feverish feeling is something many people with fibromyalgia can relate to. It's one of those symptoms that can be hard to explain to others but is very real and exhausting to live with.
Fibromyalgia affects the central nervous system, which can cause the body to misinterpret signals — making you feel like you're fighting off an illness even when you're not. This can include:
- Widespread muscle pain and soreness
- Extreme fatigue that feels relentless
- Heightened sensitivity to temperature
- General feelings of being unwell
One MyFibroTeam member described it as "unbelievable pain and soreness" that makes even sleep difficult. These feelings can also get worse during flares, which are periods when symptoms become more intense. The good news is that flares don't last forever, and many people find periods of relief in between.
It's always worth mentioning this symptom to your doctor, especially if it's affecting your daily life. Tracking when it happens and how long it lasts can help your care team find the best way to manage it.

Not every day but definately when I’m having flare ups

When experiencing bad flares I'm incapacitated by flu symptoms and sometimes they come from nowhere and I'm bedridden for awhile. I honestly think that stress is the key .
