Managing Mast cell w diet and supplements has reduced daily fatigue and inflammation. I still get tired at end of the day and still flare if I do too much, and a few times a year I may wake up very tired. But overall I am doing way better than years ago

You're absolutely right that fibromyalgia is far more complex than once thought. Research now points to real, measurable changes in the body, including:

- Brain differences, particularly in how the thalamus processes pain signals
- Increased immune cell activity in the central nervous system
- Muscles that require more energy and don't relax as efficiently
- Disrupted melatonin production affecting sleep and energy cycles Other MyFibroTeam members have also noticed their symptoms fluctuate in ways that are hard to explain. One member noted their fatigue would go "up then down" unpredictably, even after years of living with fibromyalgia.

The most important step is keeping your healthcare team informed about what's working and what's changed. They can help determine whether your improvements are linked to your current management approach or something shifting in your condition overall.
