Do any of you have nocturnal auditory hallucinations that wake you up from sleep
It happens to me. I think the sound is real, but then realize what happened, didn't really happen. Sometimes it's so hard to get back to sleep. We all know how difficult lack of quality sleep can be
You might be tempted to think medicine causes it. The only thing I've had is famotidine for its histamine blocking effect, plus my asthma inhalers.
Lately, my head is so foggy, my ears ring… read more

Members connected over the challenges of nocturnal auditory hallucinations, tinnitus, brain fog, and disrupted sleep that many in the community experience. Several members shared helpful coping strategies, including getting up slowly during nighttime episodes, taking calming baths, doing gentle art, walking in nature, using a TENS machine, and practicing meditation with body scan techniques by Lauren Ostrowski Fenton on Spotify or YouTube. A recurring theme was the importance of staying in the moment, moving carefully to avoid falls, and seeking medical guidance to rule out conditions like high blood pressure, vestibular migraines, or other overlapping issues.

Lack of sleep causes so many problems, seems to mess with my hearing, sight and mood, causes me migraines πŸ˜’ yesterday ended early for me it felt like my hearing volume kept going up and down, strange pressure in my ears.

Hoping for a better day today πŸ™πŸ’–

I have a sinus tumour that causes migrains like this. I'd book an appointment with a doctor before you get worried you may have something. It's always safer to get proper medical care. There are many overlapping symptoms between the 2 πŸ₯€πŸŒ·πŸŒ»

Hi sweetheart πŸ₯€πŸͺ»
I'm sorry you are going through this it's horrible. Yes I get that, I'm suddenly awake and thinking it's just a dream it's just a dream. Usually when this happens it's peak pain. Tinnitus is high, brain fog is high. Takes me awhile to come around.
I have to get up, I've learnt over the years to get up slowly do 1 thing at a time really slowly. Today it happened at around 2am so I got up prepared my smoothie dropped milk everywhere (but we don't cry about spilled milk as we are warriors) decided to soak in the bath. I always take my book or music with me. It gives me something to concentrate on. I never rush that is paramount as during these episodes you can fall. Be aware! I then did a little art got myself ready and went for a walk. In nature it calms everything down. I walk with my tens machine on it really helps pain wise. I listen to nature sounds car sounds any sound I count them. I'll do the same with colour.
The most important thing I've learnt is be in the moment as much as you can, When you become aware you have lost the moment quietly bring yourself back. I meditate also, Lauren Ostrowski Fenton her body scans are really good. They bring you back to your breath and your breathing pattern. This calms the body down. I do hope you find some peace with love Peps πŸ’–πŸŒ·πŸŒΊπŸŒ»
