I don't mind sharing at all but know up front I believe in a mind body mindset, which means I was taught and believe the mind Influences the body. Therefore I have naturally gravitated towards a holistic approach. I do not consume any medications. I often use various techniques such as mindfulness, a clean diet, supplements, breathing exercises and so on. If you are still interested in learning more just let me know, I'd be happy to obligeπŸ’–β€οΈπŸ’•

Would you mind sharing what helped to clear brain fog?

I am a consumer of omega 3s and while I can't particularly attribute it to an increase of cognitive improvements, I will say it likely helped to lower my neuro-inflammation so i that I was finally able to clear my permanent brain fog . I also used other methods to achieve this. I wish you well β˜―οΈπŸ’—

Has Omega-3 helped with cognitive issues, memory, or concentration for people with fibromyalgia? 🌸

Fibro fog is incredibly common β€” up to 80% of people with fibromyalgia experience memory and concentration difficulties. It's thought to be linked to poor sleep, chronic fatigue, and stress.

While Omega-3 is widely discussed as a supplement, research specifically on Omega-3 and fibro fog is still limited. Some nutritional supplements are believed to potentially ease fibromyalgia symptoms, but more research is needed to confirm which ones truly help.

Here are some strategies that do have more evidence behind them for managing fibro fog:

- Regular exercise (even resistance training twice a week) has been shown to improve cognitive processing
- Better sleep habits β€” consistent sleep/wake times, limiting screens before bed
- Anti-inflammatory diet β€” fresh fruits, vegetables, plant-based proteins, avoiding processed foods
- Making lists and journaling to help organize thoughts
- Prescription medications may also help in some cases

As one MyFibroTeam member shared, fibro fog tends to worsen "when my body is under more stress or lack of sleep."

Always check with your healthcare provider or a nutritionist before starting any supplement, including Omega-3, to make sure it's right for you. πŸ’›
