I have trouble recalling names of things, don’t have total conversation recall anymore, and sometimes I don’t remember directions to a place I have been before. Also, sometimes I can’t immediately come up with the word I am trying to express and then it will eventually come to me. Any advice?

I hate to even reply to this because it effected me so awfully for about 2 years. I was in permanent fog,I couldn't concentrate or communicate effectively. I lost my memory and was easily confused I gave up almost everything that made me, me. The most incredible thing my cognitive side is coming back and all those old things like memories, events, emotions are slowly returning. Just yesterday about 3 years after loosing all sense of myself I found myself at the library doing tasks for a family member. i was doing things that was used to doing, that I let go of because it was too frustrating. I became a problem solver again. But I have learned to pace, set small goals and celebrate my wins. If you don't hear anything positive today know that if you have perseverance and fortitude you can begin to positively influence your condition. You have to find the tools that are most beneficial for you. Everyone is different but everyone also has the ability to change. Remember small steps still move you forward ☯️ ☀️💖

Names and lost of words often wonder how it be when I'm older.

Try not to stress about it it all sounds really normal for fibromyalgia. I’m exactly the same as you are. I can never remember anyone’s name. But I always remember a face. I have to keep asking my daughter what her best friend‘s name is again. Same with movies and books. I have read certain books repeatedly forgetting that I have read them. As I’m reading the book and going along I’m going this is sounding very familiar. You gotta laugh😀

Try turning your head to the left when you can’t recall something and wait a few moments and you may get the information if you do this and try to be calm.
