Members confirmed that excessive sweating is indeed a recognized symptom of fibromyalgia, with many sharing how it affects their daily lives in different ways, from drenching head sweats to full-body heat surges followed by chills. Several members offered helpful coping strategies, including dressing in layers, using portable fans, staying in air conditioning, wearing sweatbands, and trying over-the-counter menopause relief tablets found on Amazon. A recurring theme was that fibro symptoms vary greatly from person to person, and finding what works for your own body is key.

Yes, excessive sweating is actually one of the most commonly discussed topics among people living with fibromyalgia. It can happen at any time — day or night — and regardless of the temperature around you. Many MyFibroTeam members describe sweating constantly, even in cold weather, which can feel frustrating and hard to explain to others. It can also sometimes be linked to medications used to manage fibro symptoms, so it's worth having a conversation with your doctor to help figure out the cause.

Here are some general tips that may help manage excessive sweating:

- Wear breathable fabrics like cotton or moisture-wicking materials to stay more comfortable
- Layer your clothing so you can easily adjust to temperature changes
- Stay hydrated since sweating can lead to fluid loss
- Keep a fan nearby at night or during the day for quick relief
- Track when it happens to identify any patterns or triggers, which can be helpful to share with your doctor

It's always a good idea to mention excessive sweating to your doctor, especially if it's disrupting your sleep or daily life. They may be able to adjust your treatment plan or suggest additional strategies.

Yes I experience this but have done since a teenager. I'm neurodivergent which sweating is a symptom but also fibro has that as a symtom too. For me I carry small fans around with me. I even stick them down a top that will hold them to point at my face. 😁 Hey.. It works for me. 👍🏻 🙏🏼
