I wake up in a morning, get dressed and then I'm tired. Just so tired. I'm falling asleep where I'm sat. I'm even falling asleep sat up right. I haven't got a clue how I'm doing this it must be my party trick or something. Does anyone else feel like this?

Members connected over the question of waking up exhausted and still feeling tired throughout the day, with nearly everyone agreeing this is a very common and frustrating experience. Several members shared that they now rely on daily naps, have a limited window of energy in the mornings, and find that heat waves make fatigue even harder to manage. A recurring theme was the comfort of knowing others feel the same way, with some members mentioning magnesium, B vitamins, electrolytes, and matcha as things they have tried to help boost their energy.

Yup, me too. I’ve never been good at mornings and think that the 0 in front of any number stands for “0 my God it’s early!”

So many MyFibroTeam members describe exactly what you're going through. One member shared it "feels like you are walking through molasses," while another said no amount of sleep ever helps them feel rested.

This kind of exhaustion is a well-known part of fibromyalgia. The sleep you get often isn't the deep, restorative kind your body needs — so even after a full night, you can wake up feeling completely drained. There are a few reasons fibromyalgia causes this kind of fatigue:

- Unrestorative sleep — Deep sleep stages are often interrupted, so your body never fully recovers overnight
- Muscle inefficiency — Fibromyalgia muscles need more energy than usual, leaving you depleted faster
- Melatonin disruption — Fibromyalgia can throw off your body's natural sleep-wake signals, making you sleepy at the wrong times

It's worth mentioning this to your doctor, especially the falling asleep mid-activity part, just to make sure everything is being managed as well as possible for you.

I have tried to track my symptoms but I am not consistent. Too tedious. I also have depression and anxiety so that makes me feel tired too. Who knows?! Have a beautiful day friend
