Members shared a wide range of experiences with using ibuprofen and Tylenol for fibromyalgia-related hand and body pain, with many finding that Tylenol alone provided little to no relief. Several members described better results from combining medications, using topical gels, or adding prescription options like Savella, Lyrica, or Tramadol to their routines, while noting that finding the right combination takes time. A recurring theme was that everyone's body chemistry is different, and members encouraged one another to explore holistic approaches like myofascial release, pool therapy, and staying well-hydrated alongside any medication plan.

Hi Lore. I find that if I take both together I can get relief.
Or I take a nsad You must remember that with any chronic pain, having manageable pain is your end result. You take the meds to take the edge off, only. Take care. Hugs

Hi, I also once tried cymbalta. Horrible side effects. My rheumatologist had me try Savella, so far 1yr on it and side effects are typical. You must eat before taking,. Pain has subsided to 6-7, was always past 10. I sleep so much better, waking at 6:30 with no hangover.

We all have different chemistry, everyone. Not everything works for everybody.

I hope this helped.

I was taking for many years Cymbalta help just a little I had to take naps sleepy never got past it the couple years wake up with a head ache. I just stopped with out dosing down. But as far as Tylenol and Ibuprofen use Tylenol most days start with a half with my Tramadol and half or whole muscle relaxer. If bad day take a whole hour or two after my first dose. Every blue moon take two usually in evening on really bad day back pain. I have prescription in place of Ibuprofen use only when over did joints are a little swollen or like now so hot and humid first day whole next a half only take a few days.
